Anyone can perform the test, regardless of age, gender or ethnicity.
For individuals under the age of 18, a parent or guardian may order our services on behalf of their child. We kindly request that the parent or guardian assume full responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and security of the information provided about the child. They should also make decisions in the best interest of the child. For older children, we recommend discussing the implications of the test results, including potential disease risks, with the child.
We would like to remind customers that if their child is still being breastfed, the DNA retrieved from the child may contain a certain amount of the mother's DNA. This may result in discrepancies in the DNA testing results. Therefore, for children who are currently being breastfed, we recommend performing the DNA test after the breastfeeding stage is completed.
If the baby is not being breastfed, waiting at least 30 minutes after feeding before collecting the sample is recommended to ensure the baby’s mouth is free of any recent food, which may interfere with the test.
